Day 33. Another day where the link in the chain is the music’s producer. Disintegration by The Cure was produced by Dave Allen, who also produced Neneh Cherry’s 1996 album Man.

Woman is soulful & dark Trip-Hop at its polished, chart-bothering finest. Slow, sultry beats, mangled string samples, low frequency bass lines & heartfelt, warm vocals. There’s a great video too.
